Tips From the Technician:
"Always replace the thermal switch too if the thermal fuse has blown - A blown fuse indicates the switch has failed to do its job! This is a long job so you do not want to have to repeat anything.
The spade connectors I provide are lockable, as i've found non-lockable types can fall off when installing the boiler back in, which means you have to take the boiler out again :(
I'd recommend you first test the element and check for any punctures in the boiler to avoid unnecessary work. If your house fuse is tripping and you don't have any large leaks, then you very likely need a whole new boiler.

Good product, worked well, sender dispatched asap.
Awesome kit and video - both parts installed and working in a Dual Boiler (920.). However, it turned out to only be the fuse. Was also good to peer inside the boiler and see no scale!
Some suggestions:
Video: occasionally hard to see where you're removing a screw (e.g behind PCB case.)
A better approach to getting the steam boiler drain hose back in place - this is where I lost most of my time and ended up needing another pair of hands.
Listing the required tools at the beginning would also be helpful.
Kit:
There were a few areas where you used more parts in the video than you supplied - for the minor cost of also supplying all O-rings, plus a spare connector nut. (encased crimped terminal) and a spare fuse crimps, that would be outstanding. I would have paid £1 more to cover the cost of these to have that peace of mind. I did break one o-ring when removing a connection, and if I didn't already have spare probes (and therefore some other o-rings to borrow), I would have been screwed!
Lastly, the crimps provided needed pinching, as they were loose on the terminals once installed (your crimps, your thermal switch terminals!)
Overall, great experience - just very time consuming.
Great kit of parts. Add the O ring kit for a complete boiler service.

Canada has a nation wide postal strike so not sure if/when I’ll get this. Ordered some thermal fuses off Amazon but really wanted that thermal switch, which is hard to find. Machine is working again anyway.
